IORMA Academy

The IORMA Academy provides an innovative new approach to assist in the alignment of Academic Universities, Institutions and individual students with the Global Consumer Commerce sector as a whole.

The IORMA Academy is actively engaging both UK and International Universities in the pursuit of knowledge transfer between the Academic and Industry Sectors.

IORMA has an innovative new approach to assist in the alignment of Academic Universities, Institutions and individual Students, with the Global OMNI Retailing Industry as a whole.

As Global Retailing becomes an increasingly dynamic industry, no more confined to bricks and mortar alone, the sector is running hard to keep up with the technological, legal and media developments which change week by week. Many of these developments are borne out of research projects within universities or in collaboration with industry. Equally the education sector needs to keep abreast of similar developments happening globally across Omni-channel retailing and can also benefit from the practical experience brought into the classroom or research lab by a thriving company.

IORMA has at its heart the goal of improving business performance at all levels. Business, Government and Academia jointly carry the responsibility for the vital role of stimulating economic growth. This means assisting, inspiring and having the confidence to engage in R&D projects which will ultimately create wealth for the economy.
We envisage the Academic sector working closely with the research arm of IORMA and welcome the opportunity to work together on surveys and other research projects.

IORMA is able to connect its members with academics looking to be involved in projects or merely to network in different sectors and understand how industry works. Moreover we are open to approaches for development of specialist areas within our organisation both in the UK and globally.

Above all IORMA is ideally positioned to promote academic courses relevant to the retail sector. We are also able to assist students and through our incredible network, assist careers officers with advice for students and in many cases, contacts to help them get onto the difficult first rung of the careers ladder.

Please register your interest (HERE) from research councils, HE funding councils, university staff including department heads, research fellows, careers officers and of course individual students from overseas or across the whole of the UK.
The greater the contact between entrepreneurs and academics from a broad span of organisations, the more that will be achieved in driving OMNI Retailing forward.
